“Mom, if we find a cure, do I have to do my needles anymore?”

My name is Jack.  I am 7 years old.  I have Severe Hemophilia A and I have had over 1000 needles so far. I would like to be able to sometimes do my own needles.   I don’t like getting needles, but I could die if I don’t get them.

Our Plot to Clot – Canadian Hemophilia Society(CHS)-  Alberta Chapter fundraising event is being held on World Hemophilia Day,  April 17, 2015 at the Meridian Banquet facility located at 4820 – 76 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.
The event is to take place from 6:00 – 10:00pm with proceeds not only going to research, but also towards being able to send two registered nurses to Camp Kindle for a week in the summer.  This camp is so important for the kids as the nurses teach them how to self-infuse into their veins and how to watch out for bleeds.
We are very excited to have Erin Isfeld from CTV Edmonton as our Master of Ceremonies again this year!
Our guest speaker is Bradley Myck.  Bradley is a registered nurse at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as well as at the Misericordia Adult GSICU.  He will be sharing some of his experiences with us.
